POSITION OVERVIEW
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is in search of skilled individuals for the role of Project Management Specialist.

WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
Must be available to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
High Deductible Health Plan - bi-weekly premiums:
Single $10.39 / Family $76.94
Includes a County Funded Health Savings Account of up to $2400 Annually.

Consumer Driven Health Plan - bi-weekly premiums:
Single $78.64 / Family $273.13

ROLE SUMMARY
The Aviation Department, responsible for the operations of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the North Perry Airport, is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Project Management Specialist.

This role will involve close collaboration with the Expansion Project Administrator, assisting in the oversight and coordination of significant operational and capital projects within the Aviation Maintenance Division.

The selected candidate will be tasked with the integration of new asset data into the Maximo Asset Management Software, maintaining a warranty database, coordinating warranty services, and generating relevant reports.

Additionally, responsibilities will include conducting regular inspections of roofs and managing both warranty and non-warranty repair tasks, including the issuance of Purchase Orders and authorization of payments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and coordinate, with a high degree of autonomy, all activities related to specific programs or projects within a designated section or agency.
Operate under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with major coursework in business, public administration, or a closely related field.
(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)

Requires two (2) years of experience in a staff or administrative role managing special projects, programs, or business operations relevant to the area of assignment or closely related experience.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License with the authority to operate a county vehicle throughout the duration of employment.
Must obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area Badge (SIDA) and uphold Customs and Border Protection Seal.

PREFERENCES
NRCIA - National Roof Certification and Inspection Association.
Two or more years of experience in asset reliability maintenance and forecasting.
Two or more years of experience in lifecycle scheduling and asset replacement budget forecasting.
Two or more years of experience with Maximo Work Order and Asset Management Software.

All candidates must undergo a comprehensive ten (10) year work history verification and criminal background check.

Per the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49, Part 1542, all airport employees must undergo a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and a Security Threat Assessment (STA) to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge, as mandated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Physical Demands: Involves sedentary work that may require walking or standing occasionally and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force regularly or sustained keyboard operations.
