THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic team player to join our Finance department as a Staff Accountant. This pivotal role requires a thorough understanding of GAAP compliance and alignment with the AHLA Uniform System of Accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of various financial tasks, acting as a key partner in the hotel’s accounting processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Embody the company's principles to ensure a seamless hospitality experience through intuitive service and collaboration.
  • Engage in Finance and Accounting responsibilities, including invoice processing, journal entries, and vendor communications.
  • Promote a respectful workplace that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Assist in executing accounting procedures and policies, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with hotel departments to facilitate efficient accounting operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations, including SOX and PCI.
  • Manage Accounts Payable, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.
  • Support purchasing functions and monitor inventory processes.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payments and inquiries.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation.
  • Oversee general cashier responsibilities and ensure compliance with cash handling policies.
  • Perform additional accounting duties as assigned by management.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • A degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred, along with relevant experience in hospitality or finance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of hotel operations and departmental functions.
