Job Overview
As a pivotal member of the Engineering team, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency of engineering operations while ensuring seamless collaboration with various departments. Your role will encompass the strategic planning and execution of departmental operations, focusing on delivering professional activities within a specific technical area. You will operate with a degree of independence, adhering to established policies and evaluating outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and management of engineering and technology projects, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to optimize resource allocation. Ensure project deliverables align with initial cost estimates and manage schedules, budgets, and integration of New Product Introduction (NPI) and requisition projects, ensuring customer Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements are met.
  • As a leader, you will be responsible for hiring and nurturing talent, overseeing direct reports, and fostering performance development. Your extensive knowledge in a technical field will guide the execution of policies and strategies.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices and how your area of expertise integrates with others, while being aware of competitive dynamics.
  • Utilize sound judgment to propose innovative solutions to complex manufacturing challenges, drawing from both internal and external resources to inform decision-making.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced colleagues, potentially leading smaller projects with manageable risks and resource needs. You will facilitate discussions to achieve consensus among team members and communicate performance expectations effectively.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Engineering, Technology, and Project Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, accompanied by a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficient in documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs.
  • Established skills in project management.
  • Experience in NPI Product Engineering, Design & Development, Aerospace electronics, Project Management, LEAN methodologies, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $94,500 to $157,500, influenced by factors such as experience, education, and skill set. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary.

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information, and final offers will depend on the ability to obtain necessary authorization from the U.S. Government.
