Accounting Manager - Fund Accounting, Private Equity, Real Estate / Competitive Salary / Bonus Potential / Hybrid Work Model

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations within the Real Estate and Investment Management sector. This permanent position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility between remote and on-site work. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the company's accounting functions, including fund accounting, asset management, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial closing processes.
  • Oversee the management of investor capital accounts, ensuring precise recording and reporting of all transactions.
  • Manage all facets of fund accounting, including reconciliations, financial statements, and audit coordination.
  • Handle foreign exchange transactions while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate financial strategies and provide insights based on financial analysis.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s assets, ensuring accurate valuation and accounting.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal tax obligations and reporting requirements.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting management capacity, ideally within the Mortgage sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fund accounting, fund management, and asset management.
  • Strong understanding of foreign exchange transactions and financial closing processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership abilities with effective team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial data clearly.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
