Overview

The Financial Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the analytical evaluation of all Finance and Accounting Support functions within a significant operational unit. This includes responsibilities related to Inventory Management, Financial Analysis and Planning, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing. This position acts as a crucial financial oversight mechanism as Ryder System commits to its clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analytical Review and Corrective Measures:
    • Conduct thorough reviews of Financial and Operational outcomes.
    • Compare Actual results against Rated (contract), Planned, and/or Forecasted figures.
    • Serve as a Financial Consultant to General Managers and their teams.
  • Contract Financial Coordination:
    • Engage in negotiations and initiate new account setups.
    • Align financial risks with potential rewards.
    • Implement cost control measures and billing protocols.
    • Develop customer reporting systems.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Ensure the financial integrity of location results.
    • Facilitate coordination between Headquarters and Field operations.
  • Planning:
    • Oversee monthly forecasting processes.
    • Manage annual planning activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
  • A minimum of seven (07) years of experience in managing Finance and Accounting functions, including Inventory Management, Financial Analysis, and Reporting.
  • Functional knowledge of WMS systems is required.
  • Intermediate understanding of Supply Chain Management and logistics processes is necessary.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
