About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Content Partnerships and Business Development to join our team at Verizon. As a key member of our Content Strategy and Partnerships team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with content partners and the industry at large, representing the company and its reputation as an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead negotiations and structuring deals with partners to secure content licensing agreements with the necessary rights to support Verizon's current and future businesses.
  • Manage relationships and negotiations with Verizon's key content providers.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other content platform teams to ensure the maximization of assets, top-tier content flow, and consumer/revenue growth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Experience in programming and content acquisitions from best-in-class cable provider and/or content programmer.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, a matrixed organization with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Translated market knowledge and strategy into compelling stories presented to senior executives.
  • Experience in partner management, business development, and deal negotiation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Legal background.
  • Master's or other advanced degree - MBA preferred.
  • Proven leadership and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong people management and organization skills.
  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset, with a strong personality and ability to be a driver and change agent in an organization.
