Your Role:

Kleinfelder is in search of a Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager to join our team. This position offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote work, office presence, and occasional field assignments. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about managing and executing complex projects, collaborating with both junior and senior engineers, providing mentorship, and engaging in business development initiatives.

Our team tackles a diverse range of projects, collaborating with experts in bridge, structural, civil, and water resources engineering, as well as environmental specialists and construction oversight personnel. We handle various public and private infrastructure systems, including bridges, transit systems, roadways, and commercial structures, all while navigating the complexities of urban environments and challenging terrains.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering is required; a Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting, with some project management experience.
  • A California Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory; a Geotechnical Engineer (GE) license or the ability to obtain one is desirable.
  • Strong leadership and management skills for overseeing complex technical and field projects.
  • Proficiency in conducting various geotechnical analyses, including foundation design, slope stability, and seismic hazard evaluations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical software such as LPile, APile, and gINT is advantageous.
  • A clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test are required.
