ENGEO Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team as a specialist in earthquake engineering. As a key member of our team, you will work on a wide range of challenging projects, including seismic hazard analysis, ground-response analysis, and ground-motion development.
Key Responsibilities- Perform seismic hazard analysis, ground-response analysis, and ground-motion development for projects in the Western United States, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific.
- Lead the development of design recommendations for design and construction of private and public projects.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, government agencies, project managers, and peers to effectively communicate and deliver projects.
- Take on increasingly complex tasks and projects, driving innovation and excellence in earthquake engineering.
- Thorough knowledge of earthquake engineering, including ground motion models, seismic source characterization, ergodic and non-ergodic seismic hazard analysis, time-history scaling and matching, and site-response analysis.
- Working knowledge of the software program HAZ45 or equivalent.
- Coding capability in Python and/or Matlab.
- Fundamental knowledge of geotechnical engineering or willingness and ability to learn.
- M.S. degree in a relevant field, PhD preferred.
- Proficiency in GIS experience.
- Robust writing and communicative skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse environment.
- Capacity to work as a team member while being resourceful when working independently.
