Job Title: Assistant Account Manager - Security

Job Summary:

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Assistant Account Manager - Security to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will assist the Account Manager with supervisory, training, and operations functions at assigned posts, ensuring seamless execution of security contracts and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Account Manager in coordinating all aspects of executing security contracts, including technical and managerial tasks.
  • Assign work tasks to Security Professionals and direct their work throughout the day.
  • Supervise, motivate, coach, and train Security Professionals, evaluating their work performance and making recommendations for assignments.
  • Maintain accurate records of post orders, training information, and security reports.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new employees, ensuring they are properly oriented to the post, review post orders, and understand routine responsibilities and emergency procedures.
  • Oversee all reports, logs, and pass downs generated by the Security Department, distributing communications and information to Security Professionals as directed.
  • Manage and supervise sub-units within the Security Department, such as fire control rooms, command centers, and loading docks, generating work orders and attached paperwork as needed.
  • Respond to minor incidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken, reports are completed, and parties are notified in a timely manner.
  • Identify and address personnel problems, such as payroll issues, employee relations complaints, or other concerns, forwarding issues to the Account Manager or Field Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Make recommendations for counseling and/or disciplinary action, including termination, and administer counseling or disciplinary actions as directed by the Account Manager or management.
  • Respond to client or site emergencies, ensuring communication with the Account Manager, Field Supervisor, Branch, and/or Regional Manager, and maintaining positive client/security relationships through frequent tenant/client contact and support.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three to five years of professional-level experience, with prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, or military.
  • Valid state Guard License, with the ability to successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
  • Driving Positions: valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
  • Energetic and focused personality with excellent customer service orientation, ability to resolve client issues, and de-escalate situations.
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to train and coach others, enforce post orders, security standards, and company policies equitably and consistently.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work outside normal shift schedule on an as-needed basis and be accessible by phone or pager 24/7 for emergency responses.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check for the SIDA and US Customs and Border Protection endorsement on an annual basis.
  • Must be able to comply and successfully pass ongoing/continuous random Drug and Alcohol screening.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 annually.
