Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Permanent Assistant Controller to play a crucial role in our financial operations and ongoing growth. The successful candidate will manage all facets of our accounting functions, including general ledger management, inventory oversight, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Responsibilities will also encompass month-end and year-end closing processes, general ledger maintenance, supporting documentation, capital project reporting, and internal control assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Maintain and analyze the general ledger, addressing any discrepancies that arise.
  • Supervise capital project reporting, delivering precise financial data to support decision-making.
  • Assess internal controls, identifying risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with various departments to achieve financial objectives.
  • Conduct cash flow analyses, providing insights and recommendations for enhancing financial performance.
  • Facilitate external audit processes, ensuring all necessary information is accessible and any issues are promptly resolved.
  • Oversee tax compliance activities, ensuring all obligations are fulfilled and potential issues are proactively managed.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives, offering financial insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP in all activities.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting standards.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, capable of interpreting complex financial data and providing actionable insights.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the capacity to manage a team and uphold high standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with other departments and external stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Solid understanding of tax and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in strategic planning, providing financial insights to inform decision-making.
