Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to team members, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

  • Quality and Safety: Ensure adherence to Food Safety Systems and investigate near misses and injuries, providing documentation to the Safety Manager and Supervisors.
  • Training and Development: Develop and coach team members, providing business, leadership, and technical training to enhance their skills and competencies.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Manage employee timecards, submit them in a timely manner, and develop and post weekly schedules for the team.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper operation of processing equipment by monitoring flow of materials and machine malfunctions, providing troubleshooting when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Three years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on quality control processes.
  • Certifications: Must obtain and maintain Forklift, Boom lift, Scissor lift certifications.
  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in ERP and computer systems.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand for periods of time at work station, climb stairs, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated by the company.

The majority of the roles is performed in a manufacturing environment which may include high levels of noise. Working conditions can include extreme cold, heat, humidity or salty environment's to be able to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
