The Pharmacy Manager plays a crucial role with our consumers and clinic partners by advising on our pharmaceutical care services and benefits. This position is accountable for the financial, clinical, and quality aspects of pharmacy services and will oversee the daily operations of a pharmacy, including dispensing prescription medications and engaging in one-on-one consultations with consumers. Coaching, developing, and managing pharmacy staff is also a vital responsibility of this role. The manager will act as a talent steward, proactively seeking top talent for pharmacy positions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Foster an exceptional consumer and clinic partner experience while building strong relationships to proactively address their needs.
- Serve as a clinical expert, collaborating with the clinical team to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
- Provide counseling and education to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and personal inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with policies and standards in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct wellness services such as immunizations and preventive care.
- Oversee financial performance and identify growth opportunities within the pharmacy.
- Inspire, develop, and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure they reach their full potential and deliver outstanding service.
- Create an engaging team environment that promotes compassion and embodies our core values and culture.
- Proactively promote recruitment opportunities to attract top talent to our pharmacies.
- Analyze key performance indicators with pharmacy staff to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Conduct workforce and business planning to achieve operational excellence.
- Build strong relationships with the community, stakeholders, and clinic partners to ensure all needs are met and promote pharmacy services.
- Implement marketing strategies and materials to highlight all pharmacy offerings.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Current pharmacist's license in the state of California.
- Certified immunizer or willingness to become certified within three months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in pharmacy leadership.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
