Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Permanent Assistant Controller. This pivotal role is essential for maintaining our financial integrity and supporting our ongoing growth. The successful candidate will manage all facets of our accounting functions, including general ledger management, inventory oversight, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Responsibilities will also encompass month-end and year-end closing processes, general ledger maintenance, capital project reporting, and evaluation of internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain and analyze the general ledger, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
  • Oversee capital project reporting, delivering precise financial data to aid in decision-making.
  • Assess internal controls, identifying risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives, collaborating with various departments to achieve financial objectives.
  • Conduct cash flow analyses, offering insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Facilitate external audit processes, ensuring all necessary information is available and issues are resolved swiftly.
  • Manage tax and compliance responsibilities, ensuring all obligations are fulfilled and potential issues are proactively addressed.
  • Support strategic planning efforts, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure all activities comply with GAAP standards.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting principles.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, capable of interpreting complex financial data and providing actionable insights.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the capacity to guide a team and uphold high standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in accounting software and financial management tools.
