Mechanical Designer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer II to join our team at Logistic Services Int. as a key member of our engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems and products using 3D CAD software, including detail drawings and large assembly management.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design integrity and feasibility.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
- Conduct design reviews and provide input on design improvements.
- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production and delivery of products.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and apply knowledge to improve design and manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and drafting.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SolidWorks.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with 3D printing, additive manufacturing, and rapid prototyping.
- Knowledge of sheet metal and machined part fabrication practices and documentation standards.
