Mechanical Designer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer II to join our team at Logistic Services Int. as a Mechanical CAD Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and products, utilizing their expertise in 3D Mechanical CAD and engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems and products, including detail drawings and models, using 3D Mechanical CAD software.
- Apply knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to ensure designs meet functional and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve engineering problems, using logic and reasoning to evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, prioritizing and organizing work to meet deadlines and schedules.
- Develop and maintain documentation standards for sheet metal and machined part fabrication practices.
- Work with others to achieve team goals, identifying complex problems and developing solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in 3D printing, additive manufacturing, and rapid prototyping.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in drafting and design, with 2+ years in a mechanical design role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Solidworks, AutoCAD, and other 3D modeling software.
- Preferred experience with Faro Arm 3D Scanner and Geomagic Design X software.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance when required by the contract.
