We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer II to join our team at Logistic Services Int. as a key member of our engineering department.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop 3D mechanical CAD models and detail drawings, utilizing large assembly management skills to ensure efficient and effective design processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate engineering perspectives and requirements to upper management and the engineering team.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to drive design decisions and solutions.
- Exercise independent judgment to make decisions on engineering problems, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, prioritizing and working to schedules to meet deadlines.
- Develop and maintain documentation standards for sheet metal and machined part fabrication practices.
- Contribute to a collaborative and dynamic team environment, working effectively with others to achieve common goals.
- Identify and resolve complex problems, evaluating information to develop and implement solutions.
- Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Office, Solidworks, AutoCAD, and other 3D modeling software, as well as Solidworks Simulation and EPDM Configuration Management.
- Prior experience with Faro Arm 3D Scanner and Geomagic Design X software is highly desirable.
- Preferred experience in 3D Printing, Additive Manufacturing, and Rapid Prototyping.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance when required by the contract.
- Associate degree in a related field or certification from a technical institute or equivalent.
- Eight years of drafting experience.
- Two years of experience as a mechanical drafter.
