Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer II to join our team at Logistic Services Int. as a Mechanical CAD Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs and models using 3D CAD software, with a strong focus on large assembly management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex mechanical systems and components using 3D CAD software, including Solidworks and AutoCAD.
  • Apply intensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to ensure designs meet technical requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve engineering problems, using logic and reasoning to evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including technical drawings and specifications.
  • Work independently to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering, applying new knowledge and skills to improve design and process efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and drafting, with a strong background in 3D CAD software.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a proven track record of managing teams and projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance, as required by the contract.
