Job Overview

Logistic Services Int. is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop 3D mechanical CAD models and detail drawings, applying large assembly management skills.
  • Communicate effectively with upper management and the engineering team, providing clear explanations of engineering perspectives.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to solve complex problems.
  • Make independent decisions on engineering problems, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, prioritizing and working to a schedule.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in mechanical engineering.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent certification.
  • Eight years of drafting experience, with two years of experience as a mechanical drafter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Solidworks, AutoCAD, and other 3D modeling software.
  • Preferred experience with Faro Arm 3D Scanner and Geomagic Design X software.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance when required by the contract.
