Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join our Chemical Terrorism (CT) Laboratory team. This role involves conducting analyses and preparing samples for the Laboratory Response Network for Chemical Threats (LRN-C).

The successful candidate will engage in the examination of Per- and Polyfluorinated Alkyl Substances (PFAS) in biological samples such as serum, plasma, or whole blood, collaborating with our academic partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing advanced instrumentation, including Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
  • Performing data analysis and reviewing Quality Control (QC) runs.
  • Updating and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary, ensuring compliance with CLIA/CLIS standards.
  • Managing sample preparation, accessioning, inventory management, and ordering supplies.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and relevant experience with LC-MS/MS and GC-MS techniques.
