Lead Risk Management Specialist

The Lead Risk Management Specialist offers a wide-ranging and diverse set of risk management skills to organizational leaders.
Drives and facilitates the establishment of suitable risk frameworks and associated management activities aimed at reducing enterprise and/or organization-wide risk exposures for critical business sectors or functional areas.
Role Responsibilities:
Recognized as a premier expert within the organization, this role demands substantial depth and/or breadth of expertise in a complex domain, along with an understanding of related broader areas.
Integrates knowledge of the enterprise function's or business segment's strategy in leading program design, policy formulation, or operational standards across one or more areas of expertise.
Acts as a source of expert guidance to senior management in their area of specialization; may lead teams of related specialists/experts.
Advises on execution strategies and spearheads the development and deployment of functional programs or initiatives within their field or across multiple specialties.
Addresses unique and ambiguous challenges with widespread impact; typically oversees standards, controls, and operational methods that have significant financial and operational implications within their field.
Influences the technical or functional direction and resource allocation of a segment of an enterprise function or business segment.
Operates within general policies and industry guidelines.
Engages stakeholders to prompt action; serves as a source of expert advice, influences change, and contextualizes information broadly.
Provides leadership guidance, makes recommendations, and collaborates with business units to ensure solutions align with complex project or program needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or technical certification and/or over 10 years of relevant experience.
Advanced knowledge of risk management governance, programs, policies, practices, operating frameworks, and reporting for supported businesses and/or areas of discipline.
Ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the function and provide counsel to senior leadership.
Skill in mentoring and coaching.
Advanced capability to lead, plan, implement, and assess program/project activities to ensure initiative completion.
Effective communication skills in both oral and written forms.
Ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams and functions.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
Customer Responsibilities:
Leads the development and/or implementation of specific standards, policies, and/or processes that identify, report on, and mitigate operational risk exposures within the organization.
Establishes and provides ongoing analysis and reporting on operational risk and/or other major risk categories.
Coordinates and/or guides activities related to core operational risk disciplines/programs, including Risk & Control Self-Assessment.
Supports enterprise-wide operational risk escalation, review, and approval processes.
