LPN - Healthcare Provider

Your Responsibilities Include:
  • Conducting medical assessments of potential donors for automated plasmapheresis procedures
  • Evaluating donor eligibility of new applicants in collaboration with a donor center physician
  • Providing basic emergency care, including administering medications or treatments
  • Performing evaluations to ensure adherence to criteria for normal plasma donors
  • Reviewing medical histories and conducting suitability examinations
  • Maintaining communication logs regarding donor eligibility
  • Assessing normal and abnormal test results to determine ongoing donor suitability
  • Counseling donors with abnormal test results and advising them accordingly
  • Completing required cross-training

Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited healthcare educational program
  • Current licensure as an LPN specific to the employment location
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to educate donors, staff, and the community about our plasma donation program
  • Strong organizational skills, team-oriented mindset, flexibility, and comfort working with a diverse group in a busy medical environment
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of all personnel and center information
  • Willingness to work on weekends
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Experience in blood banking or plasma centers is highly preferred
  • One or more years of experience in hospital, field care, or plasma center settings preferred
