The Manufacturing Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing essential administrative assistance to the Plant Manager and other personnel within the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with payroll processing and human resources functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Engage in bilingual communication, particularly in Spanish, to facilitate effective interaction.
- Spend a significant portion of time on the production floor, performing tasks such as inventory counting and documentation verification.
- Verify and calculate weekly timecards, ensuring accurate reporting of hours worked, absences, and bonuses.
- Support the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new employees, including documentation and payroll procedure explanations.
- Maintain records and manage communications related to workers' compensation incidents.
- Handle incoming calls and messages, providing information and resolving issues as authorized.
- Assist with data entry to maintain inventory accuracy and order office supplies as needed.
- Operate office equipment and coordinate repairs when necessary.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of three years of general office experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with colleagues, vendors, and customers.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that may include sitting, standing, bending, and walking.
The position is based in a general manufacturing facility, where employees may encounter moderate to high noise levels and are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
