Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain assigned customer accounts to ensure optimal sales performance.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities to expand customer base.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on Company products and services to facilitate informed purchasing decisions.
  • Conduct regular site visits to customers to follow up on orders, address queries, and secure new business.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless sales operations.
  • Monitor and analyze customer pricing letters to ensure accurate pricing and compliance.
  • Collect receivables from assigned accounts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with Branch Manager to ensure timely delivery of vendor products and services.
  • Coordinate customer deliveries requiring special attention to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Order sales literature for the branch to support sales efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Region General Manager or Branch Manager.
Requirements

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend various documentation, accounting methods, and correspondence.
  • Ability to write correspondence with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.

Numerical Aptitude:

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Manual Dexterity:

  • Ability to use office machines and equipment with average levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to operate computers, calculators, and other general office equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move regularly, with occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a Company vehicle and travel throughout the service area.

Physical Communication:

  • Ability to talk and hear effectively to interact with customers and colleagues.

Working Conditions and Hazards:

  • Work is performed in an office setting, with occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, and airborne particles.
  • Minimal risk of exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and loud noises.
