This role is positioned to work within the educational system, focusing on the needs of adolescents.

Compensation Structure:
Master's-level Counselor: $55,000 - $66,000
Licensed Counselor: $67,000 - $77,000

Sign-on bonus available up to $4000.

Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors, including educational background, professional experience, and relevant certifications. We aim for competitive market alignment and fairness in compensation among our team members.

Under the guidance of supervisory personnel, this role encompasses a comprehensive range of counseling and clinical responsibilities, including but not limited to assessment, education, and treatment of clients facing substance use disorders and related behavioral health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Individual, Family, & Group Counseling: Conducts individual sessions, family consultations, and group therapy; engages in safety planning and risk assessments; identifies challenges and formulates strategies for resolution to help clients achieve their treatment objectives while providing ongoing education and support.
  • Recovery Planning: Develops comprehensive treatment plans that address client needs, set immediate and long-term goals, and outline actionable steps and services to facilitate goal attainment.
  • Case Management: Coordinates appointments, administers client assessments, tracks client progress to ensure adherence to treatment plans, and collaborates with external providers such as educational institutions and healthcare professionals.
  • Referrals: Connects clients with relevant programs or services by identifying suitable resources and assisting them in completing necessary applications.
  • Intake and Screening: Guides clients through admission processes, gathers essential information for eligibility determination, secures necessary authorizations, and maintains accurate case records while providing a thorough orientation on program policies and expectations.
  • Assessment: Conducts thorough evaluations by collecting pertinent history and collaborating with external agencies to gather comprehensive information.
  • Documentation: Completes necessary reports, including treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation as mandated by agency policies.
  • Team Participation: Engages in team meetings, case discussions, clinical training, and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Administrative Duties: Manages front desk responsibilities, oversees client fee systems, and ensures a safe environment within the facility.
  • Compliance: Adheres to regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
Minimum Qualifications

A Master's Degree in a relevant field qualifying for licensure in the State of Connecticut, along with a minimum of one year of experience working with adolescents.
