Job Summary:
Premier Health is seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a critical role in the interdisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients across the lifespan, taking into account social and cultural diversity.
- Develop and implement exercise programs for cardiovascular and pulmonary patients.
- Supervise and counsel patients on exercise and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field.
- Experience in cardiac monitoring and exercise program planning.
- Certification or experience equivalent to an exercise specialist by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in rehabilitative exercise physiology or a related field.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
