Quorum Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to enhance our dedicated team.

The Housekeeping Team Leader plays a vital role in overseeing the daily functions of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring smooth operations in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with guests and team members in a warm, friendly, and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in alignment with hotel standards, adapting schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal grooming and appearance as per brand guidelines.
  • Adhere to all safety and operational regulations to promote efficient hotel functioning.
  • Meet certification requirements relevant to the position, including food safety and emergency response training.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of a key control system for the department.
  • Ensure effective communication within the housekeeping team through proper radio etiquette.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to guarantee cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Assist in managing departmental expenses and reducing waste across housekeeping operations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and financial strategies for the department.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to discuss important information regarding daily operations.
  • Participate in daily room inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Help in reviewing staff hours for payroll processing and submit timely reports to accounting.
  • Assist in creating employee schedules based on business forecasts and budget guidelines.
  • Oversee the inspection of rooms for arriving VIP guests.
  • Ensure cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas to hotel standards.
  • Support deep cleaning initiatives as needed.
  • Provide assistance to housekeeping staff during peak periods.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of housekeeping and laundry supplies, ordering as necessary.
  • Complete housekeeping inventories promptly.
  • Protect guest privacy and security by following established hotel protocols.
  • Participate in management on duty coverage as scheduled.
  • Implement all hotel policies and house rules effectively.
  • Assist in training staff on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor maintenance requests and follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Address guest requests, concerns, and incidents with attentiveness and professionalism.
  • Attend monthly team meetings and other required functions.
  • Foster positive relationships and open communication with all departments and team members.
  • Respond to emergencies using information from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), keeping them current and accessible.
  • Assist in managing lost and found procedures according to hotel standards.
  • Participate in training new housekeeping personnel in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Ensure all employees maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
  • Sanitize work areas regularly, especially in high-traffic zones.
  • Conduct property walkthroughs to ensure compliance with cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
  • Practice frequent hand hygiene in high-contact areas.
  • Adhere to hotel COVID-19 safety measures.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and company-approved software for spreadsheets and word processing.
