Overview

A prominent investment banking firm is seeking to recruit an Analyst to enhance their dedicated team.

This organization is known for its meticulous approach to deal selection, which leads to a selective and high-caliber evaluation and execution process for sell-side mergers and acquisitions, catering to both founder-led and private equity-backed enterprises nationwide. The Analyst's role will predominantly involve active participation in live deal execution.

The new Analyst will be part of a relatively flat and collaborative workplace culture, offering significant visibility into the processes of deal origination and execution. Regular interactions with senior team members will be a hallmark of this engaging environment.

The firm operates across various industry sectors, with a particular emphasis on the consumer market, having collaborated with numerous recognized and engaged brands within various consumer sub-sectors. Typical transaction values range from $50 million to $200 million, with some recent deals reaching between $200 million and $400 million.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the clients' business models, financial profiles, growth prospects, and competitive positioning.
  • Analyze and interpret historical and projected financial data.
  • Coordinate and conduct business due diligence while executing M&A transactions.
  • Prepare marketing materials, confidential information presentations, management presentations, and other necessary documentation.
  • Conduct valuation assessments and perform ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Support the marketing and execution of ongoing engagements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in investment banking, financial consulting, private equity, or Big 4 M&A.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting and finance principles.
  • Extensive experience in operational, financial modeling, and valuation tasks.
  • A bachelor's degree with an outstanding academic record from an accredited institution.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and technical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple project deliverables concurrently.
