KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Analyst will support various aspects of solar project investments, including collaborating with project developers to assess new investment opportunities, preparing outreach materials, creating investor presentations, and aiding in business development. Key responsibilities include:

1) Investment Analysis:

  • Collaborate closely with the executive team and partners to assess new solar project opportunities.
  • Develop and refine complex energy financial models tailored to the specific characteristics of each project.
  • Investigate emerging technologies, market data, and evolving policy dynamics relevant to the project.
  • Utilize our investment criteria to conduct pro-forma analyses, evaluate economics, and establish terms for project investments.

2) Project Acquisition Coordination:

  • Assist in the origination, negotiation, and finalization of project finance transactions, including the development and negotiation of term sheets.
  • Lead the analysis of project specifics, including reviewing essential contracts, revenue strategies, and implementation plans.
  • Present investment analyses, including assessments of value and risk, to the senior investment team.

3) Written Communication:

  • A significant portion of this role involves writing. You will create proposals, term sheets, marketing materials, outreach communications, and investment presentations. Clear and effective writing is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate is intelligent, diligent, resourceful, and possesses strong writing, Excel, and interpersonal skills. Specifically:

  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Finance experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong ability to grasp complex concepts, including tax regulations, energy policies, financial structures, and more.
  • Self-driven with a high degree of initiative and accountability.
  • Organized, meticulous, and capable of managing multiple streams of information simultaneously.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • May require extended hours during critical deal closures.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The anticipated salary for this position starts at $65,000, with potential bonuses of up to $15,000 annually. However, the base salary may vary based on individual factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as annual bonuses and a comprehensive range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits. Details regarding participation in these benefit plans will be provided upon receiving a job offer. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position," and SolRiver reserves the right to adjust base salary and other compensation programs as needed.
