Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to US GAAP standards within the Corporate Accounting team. This position will collaborate extensively with various departments, acting as a vital business partner across the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to enhancing value through diverse financial activities, including month-end closing processes, financial reporting, and the establishment of robust accounting and internal control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger analysis.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation on US GAAP accounting and financial reporting standards to business partners.
  • Conduct research on technical accounting issues, ranging from routine to complex scenarios.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements that comply with US GAAP, including necessary disclosures.
  • Calculate and prepare quarterly return on investment metrics.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal control structures across the organization, ensuring ERP segregation of duties.
  • Support finance-related IT projects and system implementations.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements, propose solutions, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement changes.
  • Participate in or lead various corporate accounting tasks and special projects as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in corporate accounting, specifically in month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing US GAAP compliant financial statements and disclosures.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing controls and processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining focus and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to strict guidelines.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, and SUMIFS.
  • Experience in systems implementation is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Accounting is a plus.
  • Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Big Four accounting firms is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily remote, with occasional office attendance required.
