About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our commercial leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our US commercial strategy, driving revenue growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Commercial Strategy: Collaborate with our commercial leadership team to identify areas for growth and improvement, and develop and execute strategies to drive revenue expansion.
  • Lead Annual Strategic Planning Processes: Lead the annual strategic planning process for our commercial business, guiding and collaborating with our commercial leadership team to develop department-specific strategies.
  • Drive Commercial Business Growth: Identify and prioritize opportunities for growth and improvement, and develop and execute plans to drive revenue expansion.
  • Interface with Senior Leaders: Interface and ensure alignment in strategies with our business planning and global sales and marketing (GSM) strategy and initiatives.
  • Communicate Commercial Strategy: Communicate and execute our commercial strategy throughout the year to various stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education**: Bachelor's degree in business administration, analytics or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience**: Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience in strategy planning/execution/management or similar roles, inclusive of 2+ years' experience in consulting or a corporate strategic planning role.
  • Skills**: Strong business acumen and thought leadership, ability to quickly understand critical linkages and business, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Equivalent Experience**: Prior business and/or operational roles in complex environments, experience in healthcare industry (Medical Device, Life Sciences/Pharma, Provider, Payer), awareness and understanding of medical-device company strategies and initiatives, and knowledge and understanding of current medical-device industry changes, context, and complexities.
