Job Summary

The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to members of the executive team at The Raymond Corporation. This role involves managing the executive's time, promoting the company's image, and acting as the primary liaison between the executive, key leadership, and associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the executive team by welcoming visitors, reviewing correspondence, and arranging company events.
  • Calendar Management: Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, and follow through on projects to successful completion.
  • Communication: Advise key leaders on historical precedents, serve as a liaison, and complete critical aspects of deliverables.
  • Administrative Support: Participate as an adjunct member of the executive team, assist in scheduling meetings, and attend all meetings.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate and organize meetings, including scheduling, sending out agendas, and arranging necessary materials or resources.
  • Travel Arrangements: Arrange travel by developing itineraries and agendas, booking transportation, and arranging lodging and meeting accommodations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Six or more years of related experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening abilities.
  • Results-driven, with strong organizational skills and self-structure.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through skills.
  • Ability to draw upon available resources within the company.
  • Strong team player, with a desire to help others achieve goals.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and skills, commitment to quality, and strong work ethic.
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This position is classified as sedentary work, requiring the ability to remain stationary for extended periods while occasionally moving within the office to complete tasks. Physical demands include the ability to frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity is necessary for computer operation, writing, and handling materials. Clear articulation and voice control are essential for effective communication with both internal and external customers via telephone.

Travel Requirements

Travel up to 15% may be required in the southeast region (SC, NC, GA, AL).
