Position Overview:
The Graduate Programs Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the various aspects of graduate student programs, including recruitment, admissions, academic support, and student retention initiatives. This position may involve supervising both staff and student workers.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Program Administration:** Oversee the development and execution of graduate student programs and processes, ensuring effective recruitment strategies and admission procedures.
2. **Marketing and Recruitment:** Create and implement innovative marketing strategies aimed at attracting and retaining qualified graduate students.
3. **Student Counseling:** Provide guidance to students and faculty regarding recruitment, admissions, academic progress, completion rates, professional development, and career readiness.
4. **Policy Communication:** Administer, interpret, and relay policies and procedures to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring clarity and compliance.
5. **Partnership Development:** Establish collaborative relationships with internal departments and external organizations, including community colleges and industry partners.
6. **Program Evaluation:** Assess the effectiveness of graduate programs, prepare comprehensive reports, and offer recommendations for improvements.
7. **Liaison Duties:** Act as the Graduate School representative to faculty, administrators, and students, facilitating communication and collaboration.
8. **Scholarship Management:** Oversee scholarship and fellowship programs, ensuring fair administration and compliance with guidelines.
9. **Budget Oversight:** Review and manage graduate program budgets, making informed decisions regarding expenditures.
10. **Training and Development:** Conduct training sessions and presentations for graduate students as needed.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree combined with a minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
- A comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of a professional discipline is essential.
- Knowledge typically acquired through a formal four-year degree or equivalent specialized training related to the position.
