Role Mission

The Sales Development Representative at Smartcat is tasked with engaging, connecting, and qualifying inbound prospects, as well as researching, identifying, and qualifying outbound prospects.

This role supports two sales teams (strategic and velocity) in expanding the pipeline in both value and volume of accounts. While a detailed understanding of Smartcat products is not mandatory, a strong interest in SaaS solutions and the localization sector is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage, connect, and qualify inbound Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).
  • Utilize an Account-Based Marketing (ABM) approach to connect and schedule demonstrations with strategic business accounts through cold calls, emails, and social strategies.
  • Maintain a consistent outbound calling volume of over 100 calls daily.
  • Drive sales growth by setting up qualified, high-value meetings for Account Executives.
  • Document detailed notes on qualified prospects and ensure the CRM is up-to-date.
  • Develop innovative strategies to target decision-makers at prospective accounts to secure sales appointments and influence revenue.
  • Take ownership of lead generation within assigned verticals, qualifying prospects based on their challenges, budget, decision-making capabilities, and product alignment.
  • Gain insights into the business challenges and personal pain points faced by prospects, using this understanding to evoke emotional responses that resonate with the Smartcat platform.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Revenue Operations to refine the target audience and identify new business opportunities.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, providing valuable feedback to the organization regarding customer needs, challenges, purchasing processes, and priorities.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or similar role within B2B SaaS companies.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in a second language is advantageous.
  • Experience with Sandler sales training or familiarity with the Sandler sales methodology is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • A strong drive for business growth, coupled with a high tolerance for uncertainty and risk.
