Position Overview

About Children of America (COA)At COA, we pride ourselves on our diverse and dynamic team. Our lead educators play a crucial role in designing and implementing our educational programs. You will collaborate with a dedicated group of professionals in an encouraging atmosphere that fosters your growth and enthusiasm for early childhood education. We cater to preschool-aged children from 6 weeks to 12 years, offering programs such as Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before and After Care, and Summer Camp.

Key Interactions In this position, you will engage daily with Assistant Teachers, children, parents, management, and fellow educators.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Implement our developmentally appropriate curriculum with care and sensitivity.
  • Manage the diverse needs of infants and toddlers at various developmental stages.
  • Maintain an organized and positive learning atmosphere.
  • Ensure a safe and structured educational environment.
  • Show empathy towards children's feelings and parents' concerns.
  • Design daily lesson plans that promote the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with parents and colleagues.
  • Utilize strong writing skills and technology to share child progress with parents and other educators.
  • Set expectations that align with the child's age and developmental stage.
  • Bring creativity and passion to your work while enjoying the process.
