Job Summary

Nashville State Community College seeks a skilled Learning and Development Manager to design, develop, and implement comprehensive professional learning and development programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver dynamic and responsive professional learning and development programs that align with the College's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess individual department training needs and develop strategies for learning and development.
  • Perform knowledge and skills gap analysis to identify current and future learning and development needs and opportunities.
  • Establish metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of programs and analyze training data and feedback to make data-informed recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work in partnership with the College's Teaching Center to offer cross-organizational learning and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three (3) years' relevant experience
  • Familiarity with a variety of training modalities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years' experience designing and implementing effective training programs, developing employee talent, or executing effective organizational design
  • Prior experience working in higher education
  • Prior experience using a learning management system
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong presentation and group facilitation skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships across departments and across all levels of the organization
