Job Description

Paragon Group LLC is a residential general contractor dedicated to building high-quality homes in Nashville, Tennessee. We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager I to join our team and support our project management development program.

As an Assistant Project Manager I, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of the build cycle, including pre-construction, construction, and closeout. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend on-site pre-construction meetings to learn about project requirements and prepare the site for construction.
  • Familiarize yourself with building plans, site plans, and change orders in the BuilderTrend system.
  • Install company signage, no trespassing notices, and other notices on designated jobsites.
  • Assist the Project Manager with coordination of all erosion control measures, temporary utilities, construction dumpsters, and portable facilities.
  • Provide direct support to the Project Manager in all aspects of the build cycle, including civil/site work and vertical construction.
  • Assist with delivery of all aspects of assigned projects, including on-time schedule and final delivery according to Paragon build schedule.
  • Walk houses daily with the Project Manager to ensure accuracy with plans, selections, and change orders.
  • Generate daily job log entries in BuilderTrend and verify work is complete and meets manufacturer and FTQ standards.
  • Assist the Project Manager with daily site closeout, ensuring the site is clean, secure, and safe.
  • Learn to walk houses with trade partners before work begins, review plans, and review bids/purchase orders to ensure clear understanding of scope of work.
  • Develop expertise in Paragon project schedules as published in BuilderTrend for each assigned project.

Requirements:

  • Entry-level project management development position with Paragon Group designed to build upon basic building science/process knowledge.
  • Provide additional learning and exposure to Paragon specific processes, operational technologies, Quality standards, and Metro Nashville/Davidson County building realities.
  • Balance conflicting priorities in order to manage workflow, ensure completion of essential projects, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Work as a member of the team, willingly provide back up support for co-workers when appropriate and actively supporting group goals.
