Director of Learning and Development

The Director of Learning and Development will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive learning and development programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for developing talent and driving organizational growth through effective learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to identify learning needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a long-term and short-term learning and development plan aligned with organizational goals.
- Program Development: Design and implement innovative learning programs, including leadership development, technical training, and soft skills enhancement.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Performance Measurement: Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and make data-driven improvements.
- Budget Management: Oversee the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources, and manage all external partnerships.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance learning initiatives.
- Deliver Results: Apply a data-driven approach to measuring the effectiveness of learning and development programs and continuously iterate to improve results.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Learning & Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong business acumen and customer focus.
- Proven ability to design and implement effective learning programs.
- Experience assessing, designing, and developing field sales learning journeys.
- Aptitude for partnering effectively and building strong relationships with credibility and trust, with team members and internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Well-versed in adult learning theory, learning technologies, and multiple modes of delivery.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders, HR and business leaders.
- Negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including facilitation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with business operating systems and/or lean methodologies.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Up to 10% travel; must be authorized to work in the US.
