Job Summary

The Director of Learning and Development will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive learning and development programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for developing talent and driving organizational growth through effective learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to identify learning needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a long-term and short-term learning and development plan aligned with organizational goals.
  • Program Development: Design and implement innovative learning programs, including leadership development, technical training, and soft skills enhancement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and make data-driven improvements.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources, and manage all external partnerships.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance learning initiatives.
  • Deliver Results: Apply a data-driven approach to measuring the effectiveness of learning and development programs and continuously iterate to improve results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Learning & Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong business acumen and customer focus.
  • Proven ability to design and implement effective learning programs.
  • Experience assessing, designing, and developing field sales learning journeys.
  • Aptitude for partnering effectively and building strong relationships with credibility and trust, with team members and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Well-versed in adult learning theory, learning technologies, and multiple modes of delivery.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders, HR and business leaders.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including facilitation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with business operating systems and/or lean methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Up to 10% travel; must be authorized to work in the US.
