Position Summary: Memoir Agency LLC is seeking a driven and proactive Operations Manager for Food & Beverage Services with a background in management, ideally within the hospitality sector. This role encompasses the oversight, coordination, and management of all concession and bar-related functions, reporting directly to the Director of Food and Beverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage both fixed and mobile concession stands, bars, subcontracted venues, and vending operations during events.
  • Determine food, beverage, and operational requirements for both event and non-event days.
  • Supervise and guide all concession, bar, and non-profit organization personnel, including supervisors, ensuring quality control in preparation, service, and inventory management.
  • Train staff in concessions, bar, and non-profit organizations, including cashiers and stand attendants, to guarantee high-quality, efficient, and profitable food service.
  • Ensure adherence to security, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Implement responsible alcohol service protocols.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and controls.
  • Familiarize with food and beverage service equipment.
  • Effectively manage in a fast-paced, diverse environment, emphasizing client and guest services, entrepreneurship, and business development.
  • Exhibit proficiency in essential computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and POS systems.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ensure that all events and food & beverage components comply with safety and security standards for participants and vendors.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in meetings related to events to remain informed about food and beverage requirements and offerings.
  • Take necessary corrective actions to uphold effective event services and products.
  • Oversee logistics related to the advancement and onsite execution of beverage programs.
  • Supervise staff during events.
  • Act as the primary liaison for contracted event vendors.
  • Address dynamic challenges at event sites and within departmental reports concerning customer and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of products and supplies at events.
  • Handle basic accounting during settlement processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning and the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent understanding of event terminology and concepts, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products is required; familiarity with Google Docs and Google Drive is a plus.
  • Some physical fitness is necessary, with the potential for occasional heavy lifting.
  • A team-oriented attitude, willing to assist colleagues as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Florida Safe Serv Manager Certificate
  • Experience in large-scale event management
  • Knowledge of POS operating systems
  • Strong customer service skills

Compensation: $28.00 per hour, typically working a 40-hour week.
