Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY


Leads and oversees all Food and Beverage departments and personnel, including dining establishments, room service, and beverage services.

Responsible for daily operations and evaluates the performance of the Food and Beverage management and service teams. Ensures that all operational policies and procedures are adhered to across all outlets.

Ensures compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and regional Alcoholic Beverage Commission regulations.

Supports the Director of Food and Beverage in formulating and executing the strategic vision for the Food and Beverage division, which includes budget management, forecasting, inventory oversight, and cost management.

Develops the Food and Beverage outlet management team.

Creates and manages marketing and promotional initiatives for the outlets to attract local clientele.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional field.
OR

  • 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related discipline; 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading the Food and Beverage Team

  • Provides guidance and direction to all Food and Beverage departments and staff, including dining venues, room service, cafes, and beverage services.
  • Oversees daily operations and assesses the performance of the Food and Beverage management and service teams.
  • Ensures that all operational policies and procedures are consistently applied across all outlets.
  • Ensures adherence to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and regional Alcoholic Beverage Commission regulations.

  • Assists the Director of Food and Beverage in developing and managing the strategic plan for the Food and Beverage division, including budget management, forecasting, inventory oversight, and cost management.

  • Facilitates the growth and development of the Food and Beverage outlet management team.
  • Develops and implements marketing and promotional strategies for the outlets to attract local customers.

  • Monitors the status and progress of each outlet to ensure consistency in all areas of Food and Beverage operations. Researches market trends and concepts to recommend suitable products, services, and operational adjustments necessary to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of food and beverage trends within the hospitality sector.
  • Ensures that all Food and Beverage outlet teams receive proper training in sanitation, food safety, and customer service.

Managing Human Resources Activities

  • Conducts interviews, selects, and trains staff.
  • Evaluates employee productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other status changes.
  • Oversees the performance of the Exhibit Hall team, including annual performance evaluations, career development, and training needs.
  • Tracks employee attendance and records absences/tardiness.
  • Guides supervisors in achieving their development objectives.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews with direct reports in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all corporate accounting protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $152,000 annually.
