Position Summary: Memoir Agency LLC is seeking a dedicated and proactive Operations Manager for Food and Beverage Concessions. The ideal candidate will possess management experience, ideally within the hospitality sector. This role is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing all concession and bar-related operations, reporting directly to the Director of Food and Beverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage both permanent and mobile concession stands, bars, and vendor operations during events.
  • Identify food, beverage, and operational requirements for both event and non-event days.
  • Supervise and guide all concession and bar staff, ensuring adherence to quality control standards during preparation, service, and clean-up.
  • Train staff, including cashiers and stand attendants, to deliver high-quality and efficient food service.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and sanitation regulations.
  • Implement responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and control measures.
  • Familiarize with food and beverage service equipment.
  • Effectively manage in a dynamic, diverse environment, emphasizing client satisfaction and business growth.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in essential computer skills, including Microsoft Office and POS systems.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards for events.
  • Participate in meetings to stay informed about food and beverage needs.
  • Take necessary corrective actions to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Oversee logistics for beverage program advancement and onsite production.
  • Act as the primary liaison for contracted event vendors.
  • Address dynamic challenges at event sites related to customer and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for event products.
  • Handle basic accounting during settlement processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning and the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent understanding of event terminology, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; familiarity with Google Docs and Drive is a plus.
  • Some physical fitness is necessary, with the potential for occasional heavy lifting.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to support colleagues as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Florida Safe Serv Manager Certificate.
  • Experience in large-scale event management.
  • Knowledge of POS operating systems.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Compensation: $28.00 per hour, typically working a 40-hour week.
