  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room, taking food and beverage orders in an efficient manner.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests, demonstrating complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others, remaining flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures, promoting a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
  • Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared, promptly addressing complaints or issues and relaying relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
  • Ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period, keeping the area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
  • Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
