The resort is set to feature 500 guest accommodations, multiple ranch houses, and extensive recreational facilities, including pools and a destination spa. With over 127,000 square feet dedicated to indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces, it promises to be a premier destination for both leisure and business.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Event Coordination Specialist to join our team at Omni PGA Frisco Resort. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience during their events. The resort will offer a variety of dining and entertainment options, making it a vibrant hub for gatherings and celebrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Meeting Planner and various operational departments, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Event Concierge team and management to deliver a flawless experience for all guests.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of hotel operations to effectively meet guest needs.
  • Oversee all aspects of hotel events, managing day-to-day coordination and logistics.
  • Ensure that all arrangements meet specifications during meetings and conferences, creating memorable experiences for attendees.
  • Proactively address any issues that arise, keeping clients informed about the status of their events.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills by prioritizing multiple requests and information efficiently.
  • Utilize event management software to generate necessary documentation and implement changes as required.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the hotel's meeting spaces and group dynamics.
  • Participate in daily meetings to discuss event orders and weekly planning sessions as necessary.
  • Recommend external services when appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
  • Coordinate and attend pre-event meetings as scheduled.
  • Physical stamina is required, as the role involves walking significant distances throughout the resort.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in catering, convention services, or meeting planning is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year in a customer service role is required.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and data entry is necessary.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure are critical.
  • Organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are required.
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on creating memorable experiences for guests.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
