Manager of Corporate Events - Global Sourcing & Strategic Meeting Management

The Manager of Corporate Events - Global Sourcing & Strategic Meeting Management plays a pivotal role in bringing the KDP portfolio to life, ensuring alignment with our brand and event objectives. This position is responsible for overseeing hotel sourcing programs and strategic meeting management initiatives across KDP. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in both domestic and international hotel sourcing, financial planning, strategic meeting management program implementation, event coordination, and project oversight. While the primary focus will be on strategic meeting management and hotel sourcing, some event planning support may also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Sourcing:

  • Collaborate with Corporate Events Operational Managers and internal stakeholders to identify business needs and establish sourcing initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Lead complex venue and hotel RFPs, taking into account audience requirements and sourcing appropriate options to support the company's strategy.
  • Manage the contracting process, negotiating terms and pricing to mitigate risk and enhance value.
  • Leverage companywide purchasing power to secure optimal options at competitive costs.
  • Maintain relationships with hotels and suppliers, conduct business reviews, and develop master service agreements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the strategic meeting management program, refining processes and managing the event lifecycle.
  • Oversee project management for sourcing within the strategic meeting management program, ensuring adherence to timelines and accurate tracking and evaluation.

Strategic Meeting Management:

  • Business Insights: Analyze data findings and translate them into actionable business insights. Work with cross-functional teams to understand objectives and provide strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate key findings and provide visibility into business performance. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement areas and track progress toward organizational goals.
  • Change Management: Act as a change agent by driving data-focused initiatives within the organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest industry trends and best practices in data analysis, business intelligence, and organizational change management. Continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge to effectively utilize new tools and technologies for data analysis and visualization.

Leadership:

  • Manage, train, coach, and develop direct reports and program teams.
  • Adapt communication styles to achieve objectives effectively, demonstrating agility and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure efficient strategic meeting management workflows.
  • Identify and prioritize critical projects/tasks, keeping cross-functional partners focused on meeting deadlines.
  • Communicate departmental objectives, priorities, and expectations clearly.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring support.
  • Implement individual development plans with measurable goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and training initiatives for direct reports.
