Position Overview:
The Telecommunications Account Executive is pivotal in managing TEKsystems' Telecommunications Staffing and Services solutions for clients in the Communications industry, including Carriers, OEMs, and Service Providers. This role involves establishing a market presence by identifying, cultivating, outlining, negotiating, and finalizing partnerships with leading Communication firms. The Account Executive must effectively convey the value of Telecommunications Services to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
The Account Executive, reporting to the Director of Business Operations, will oversee all sales-related functions, which include:
- Crafting value propositions that align TEKsystems Telecommunications Services with the needs of Communication clients
- Exhibiting a comprehensive understanding of the business dynamics and financial elements influencing Carrier Network initiatives
- Projecting trends and adjusting staffing and services accordingly
- Formulating strategies and capitalizing on opportunities in emerging technologies
- Assisting in the development of long-term strategies and defining a strategic direction
- Creating and executing a business growth strategy for designated regions/clients
- Collaborating effectively with Pre-Sales and Delivery Resources throughout the sales cycle
- Building productive relationships with Sales leadership at both Divisional and National levels, as well as sales partners across various markets
- Developing negotiation strategies; evaluating risks and potential outcomes; understanding customer objectives
- Overseeing the creation and presentation of solutions/proposals
- Actively driving Business Development efforts with Customers on a regular basis
- Navigating and thriving within a complex sales organization
- Coordinating with other sales personnel targeting specific customer segments
- Closing new business deals by aligning requirements; formulating and negotiating contracts while integrating them with business functionalities
- Identifying and nurturing strategic partnerships with key external influencers
- Working closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or related fields OR military experience OR 2-4 years of Sales experience (preferably with management experience)
- A minimum of 2 years of successful B2B external sales experience with a proven record of exceeding quotas
- Demonstrated experience in selling Telecommunications professional services to a diverse client base, focusing on areas such as site acquisition, site development management, transport delivery services, network audit and equipment installation/integration, RF Design, and optimization for both indoor and outdoor networks
- Proficient in Sales within the Communications Services sector
- Ability to analyze the competitive landscape
- Strong business acumen within the Services and Communications industries
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess a sense of urgency, outstanding presentation skills, and a high level of professionalism and integrity
- A strong desire for knowledge and continuous learning is essential
