DBSI Services is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Specialist with over eight years of expertise in the design and implementation of site development, grading, drainage systems, utility infrastructure, roadway design, and erosion control strategies. Key Qualifications

Essential Engineering Skills and Functions:

  • Proven experience in leading internal project teams to develop comprehensive Construction Documents for site development.
  • Ability to work independently on complex technical projects.
  • Positive contributor to the overall goals, culture, and morale of the office and department.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and profitably.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, regulators, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in coordinating designs and drawings with external consultants, including architects and engineers.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to efficiency in completing tasks within established timelines.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, and Google Apps.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting services for both internal and external clients, utilizing civil and site engineering expertise, including site grading analysis, drainage design, utility layout, and erosion control design.
  • Lead project teams comprising junior and experienced engineers to deliver project design outputs.
  • Oversee the development of design calculations and drawings from preliminary to final stages.
  • Conduct site due diligence and entitlement investigations.
  • Review field data and perform inspections of existing stormwater facilities.
  • Engage in technical writing for design reports and permitting applications.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and various civil engineering design software applications effectively.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in site grading, earthwork calculations, roadway design, drainage calculations, utility layout, technical report writing, and cost estimation.
  • Experience with construction documentation for various project types.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance from the U.S. Government.
