Overview

As a Lead Audio Visual Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing control system software for integrated Audio Video Systems by translating requirements into a functional user interface and control code. You will work closely with key stakeholders to address specific needs and engage with hardware and software systems and platforms to deliver comprehensive solutions. Your role will also involve the installation of control programs and touch panel designs both onsite and remotely.

YOUR IMPACT

A Lead Audio Visual Solutions Engineer will play a crucial role in presentations, providing Sales Engineering support, assisting with BOM creation, and contributing to SOW development while planning and designing AV system solutions.

The key functions of this position include:
  • Acting as a pre-sales resource for the sales team.
  • Serving as an escalation point for Engineers and Senior Engineers.
  • Resolving multi-vendor issues effectively.
  • Leading project teams.
  • Staying updated with vendor offerings and technological advancements.
  • Assessing customer environments and making informed recommendations.
  • Escalating issues to other team members as necessary.
  • Delivering services that meet ePlus' standards.
  • Pursuing multiple advanced manufacturer-specific certifications.
  • Reading and interpreting AV system schematics.
  • Gathering programming requirements.
  • Creating new control modules, control code, and user interfaces.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferred 4-year college degree.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in IT.
  • Experience with Crestron SIMPL control system programming is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Crestron VT Pro-e GUI Design is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Crestron toolbox maintenance and diagnostics is preferred.
  • Possession of multiple industry-recognized certifications is preferred, including:
    • Biamp TesiraFORTE certification.
    • Biamp Server / Server-IO certification.
  • Ability to work independently to ensure systems are operational and stable for customer handover.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both over the phone and in person.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Capability to strategize and create timely solutions.
  • Proficiency with testing and calibration equipment and programming languages.
  • Skilled in uploading and downloading software in embedded systems.
  • Expertise in control system design (Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC).
  • Comprehensive knowledge in designing, planning, implementing, and supporting IT solutions using two or more of the following technologies:
    • Networking.
    • Collaboration (Messaging).
    • VoIP, SIP, RTP, CoS, QoS, Wireshark, Webex Control Hub, Cisco endpoint management.
    • Video Conferencing.
    • Security.
POSITION SPECIFICS

The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $90,000 and $125,000 annually; however, the offered base pay may vary based on individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements, such as commissions and discretionary bonuses, along with a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits. Details regarding participation in these benefit plans will be provided upon receiving an offer of employment.

If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position," and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary and other compensation programs at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or departmental performance, and market factors.
