  • Proven experience in leading an internal project team to develop comprehensive Construction Documents for site development.
  • Ability to work independently on complex technical projects.
  • Positive contributor to the overall goals, culture, and morale of the office and department.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and profitably.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in coordinating designs and drawings with external consultants, including architects and engineers.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to completing tasks efficiently within established timelines.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with agreed budgets and schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software such as Hydro CAD and Storm CAD.
  • Familiarity with Windows, MS Office, and Google Apps.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consulting services to both internal and external clients, utilizing civil/site engineering expertise, including site grading analysis, drainage design, utility layout, and erosion control measures.
  • Lead a project team of junior and senior engineers to achieve project design deliverables.
  • Oversee the development of design calculations and drawings from preliminary to final stages.
  • Conduct site due diligence and entitlement investigations.
  • Review field data and perform inspections of existing stormwater facilities.
  • Engage in technical writing for design reports and permitting applications.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and various civil engineering design software applications effectively.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in site grading, earthwork calculations, roadway design, drainage systems, utility layout, technical report writing, and cost estimation.
  • Experience with construction documentation for state, federal, and private sector projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance from the U.S. Government.
