About the Position

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and organized Program Coordinator to support the Innovation Commercialization Assistance Program (ICAP). As a key member of the ICAP team, you will provide overall support and coordination for ICAP programming and operations, including course offerings, events, and client coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and intake new clients, manage the application process, and facilitate ICAP Mentor introductions.
  • Assist with the identification and recruitment of program participants through various channels.
  • Track client data, ICAP Mentor hours, and report on impact and outcomes.
  • Perform data entry to update client coordination activities and outcomes in the central management system.
  • Coordinate monthly calls, set up cohorts, and provide one-on-one communication as needed.
  • Support the Director in administering technical assistance, outreach, communications, document review, and reporting to partners and funding sources.
  • Generate reports, update client profiles, and create surveys to assess program effectiveness.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with ICAP teams and Mentors, and provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Contribute to VA SBDC management meetings, departmental committees, and other institutional team efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional work experience in event coordination, program management, and social media marketing.
  • Knowledge of program coordination, partner development, and social media marketing practices.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adhere to policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Considerable professional work experience in event coordination and program management.
