Job Description

Civista Bank is seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead all aspects of the Retail branch while meeting and exceeding sales goals and financial targets for their branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, training, and performance evaluations to achieve an exceptional customer experience and meet branch goals.
  • Proactively develop and maintain a portfolio of small business customers through on-site client visits, networking, and active community engagement.
  • Deepen existing relationships with business owners and their associates, opening new accounts, securing deposits, and strategically cross-selling to gain the full client relationship.
  • Actively collaborate with internal partners to ensure the client's specific needs are met, providing referrals to treasury management, merchant services, private banking, wealth, and other Bank partners.
  • Develop new and maintain existing consumer relationships, collaborating with partners to expand branch and market share while growing the Civista brand.
  • Create and execute an annual strategic plan through analysis and critical thinking, adjusting to market conditions and trends to achieve monthly sales and operational goals.
  • Conduct interviewing and hiring of Retail branch team in conjunction with the Assistant Branch Manager and the Regional Manager.
  • Stay up to date on Bank products, services, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proven success in sales, business development, and team leadership.
  • 4 years' experience in retail or in branch banking environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to small business banking.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with community & civic organizations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work involves eye strain due to the constant use of computer screens, reading of reports, and so forth.
  • Work involves being able to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions.
  • Work involves lifting and moving files of up to 50 lbs.
  • Work involves ability to read, hear, write, and communicate professionally both in person and via telephone.
  • Work involves some travel to attend meetings, training, and so forth.
