Position Overview:
Embody the mission and strategic objectives of the organization within the commercial banking team by forging new partnerships and nurturing existing relationships through established networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve personal performance goals related to loan production, deposits, and fees while managing a designated portfolio.
- Foster collaborative relationships with support teams, including credit, loan processing, and retail.
- Act as a role model and influential figure within the market.
- Mentor fellow lenders and provide guidance as necessary.
- Assist clients by offering sound advice on financing options and financial choices.
- Ensure adherence to loan policies, procedures, and documentation, including loan package preparation, while effectively structuring, underwriting, and pricing loans.
- Provide ongoing support to existing clients and branch staff regarding loan inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to oversee exceptions.
- Identify and support the initiation of new deposit accounts and Treasury Management services.
- Generate quality referrals through regular outreach to prospective and current clients, as well as referral sources.
- Ensure timely completion of annual loan reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in business or finance, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in commercial banking is required.
Skills and Expertise:
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, leadership, and supervisory abilities, including negotiation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Sales-driven mindset with a high level of professionalism.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial products and services, along with familiarity with all company offerings.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial lending regulations and practices.
- Experience in sales management.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, and the Community Reinvestment Act.
Work Environment:
This position operates within a professional office setting.
Work is typically conducted in an office environment, with frequent visits to business clients and prospects.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively, remain seated or standing for extended periods, access filing cabinets, walk, bend, and use hands for various tasks.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
A valid driver's license for travel is required for this role.
